I know it might suck because hes not coming close or only doing small venue shows but you all don’t even realize how amazing this is that hes even able to tour, instead of complaining about it be happy either way because this is not something he HAS to do but is choosing to do to try and make the fans happy.
Its not like its the end, once his album comes out I’m sure he will tour again and bigger venues this time and places he’s never been before. This is a first for his team and they didn’t know what to expect but now that they know, things can only get bigger from here. I promise you all that one day Darren will headline a huge arena tour worldwide and everybody will get the chance to see him.
Plus think of all of the YouTube videos this will produce from all of these shows, and he’s always encouraging of that, so even if his management and the venues prohibit it, you know he’ll be secretly glad that some fans get away with it.
It’s so interesting about the Paris show now, with people in France angry about people from surrounding countries being in the pool of contenders trying to score tickets. In America, if you live in Connecticut and Darren has a concert in New York, you buy tickets if you can make that 3 hour drive. In Europe, if you live in Brussels and Darren has a concert in Paris, you buy tickets if you can make that 3 hour drive. The drive from London to Paris is around the same as the drive from Vermont to New York. It’s just different states here rather than different countries. It’s an interesting difference in perspective. Yet I must admit that people were complaining here in America about the audacity of some fans buying tickets to more than one show and driving to multiple states, thus “taking tickets away from people who couldn’t even score one ticket.”
It’s all part and parcel of the concert business, and if he booked larger venues and didn’t sell them out, it would look like a failure of a tour and he wouldn’t be able to launch another one.
This is better for him, for his career, for those “bootlegging” YouTube videos, and for everyone in the long run.
